My name is Hannah Lewandowski and I'm a portrait and nature photographer. I am self-taught and based in my hometown Waco, Texas.
IT ALL STARTED WHEN...
I was about nine years old and my dad handed me the family camera. Although I hardly knew how to operate the camera, I immediately took off, taking picture of anything and everything I found even mildly interesting. After I saw the resulting photos, all my dreams of becoming a princess went out the window and a new dream took its place.
Eight years later I am now pursuing my passion of becoming a professional photographer at 17 years old.
My goal is to show the beauty, grace, and strength in people and nature. I focus on non-models and place regular people in situation that highlight an aspect of who they are. I look for a sense of defiance and fortitude in my work.
One of my biggest influencers in photography is Dorthea Lange.
I've loved taking pictures since I was young, but never fully embraced becoming a photographer until I joined my schools yearbook staff. There I learned many skills that have helped me in my career as a photographer. Such as being reliable; there were many times I had to stay at late sports games and go to outside of school events to get photos for the yearbook. I also learned new editing and marketing skills that have helped me enhance the appealing outlook of my photos and social pages.
